A southern sensory art studio creating therapeutic art, stories, and sensory room designs that empower and support storytellers, immerse readers, and encourage self-discovery along the way.
Hello,
My name is Mrs. Autumn and I am the Creative Designer and Founder of Chrysanthemum Stories! I’m an architectural designer who researches and designs sensory spaces, tells social stories, and crafts sensory art here in my studio. This blog is my investigation into what it takes to fuse the sensory storytelling experience into environmental design.
“What the Chrysanthemum Knows” embodies a concept of cultivating wisdom, growing insight, and hidden truths that can bloom through sensory experiences, therapeutic art, and immersive storytelling:
- Inner Wisdom Development with Inclusive Sensory Experiences: Our chrysanthemum symbolizes knowledge and enlightenment. Chrysanthemum Stories aims to tap into this wisdom through sensory exploration, helping story learners discover and trust their own inner insights in kinetic investigation.
- Guided Sensory Path Exploration with Story-based Designs: Our chrysanthemum represents exploration in a guided journey along a path of sensory discovery. It knows the power of sensory experience in fostering self-awareness, creativity, and emotional well-being.
- Therapeutic Healing with Soothing Coloring Pages: Our chrysanthemum’s wisdom is reflected in therapeutic art practices and offers tools to tap into it with process art and coloring pages, enabling emotional healing and soothing self-expression.
- Storytelling Secrets of Dimensional Knowledge & Earned Reward: Our chrysanthemum knows the magic of storytelling. It’s about uncovering the hidden dimensions of experience, opening the petals to peek into other times and worlds. Story participants connect knowledge gained through the trial of the story journey to parts of themselves and gain a reward earned through the process of traveling through the story path they can take with them.
- Empowerment & Self-Discovery by Environmental Synthesis: Our chrysanthemum signifies growth and transformation. It understands that, when combined, therapeutic art, sensory storytelling, and immersive design empowers participants to discover their own strengths, passions, and potential that reaches far beyond the word glossary.
- Creating Enriching Environments to Embrace All Learning Styles: Our chrysanthemum’s wisdom lies in creating spaces that ultimately promote well-being and encourage learning, creativity, and personal growth using the framework of familiar classic stories and some original new stories to design and build immersive learning experiences in an effort to capture the imaginations of explorers with all learning styles: visual, kinaesthetic, aural, social, solitary, verbal, and logical.
In essence, “What the Chrysanthemum Knows” encapsulates the idea that through sensory experiences, therapeutic art, and storytelling, individuals can tap into their own wisdom, uncover hidden truths, and embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and empowerment.
