Summer Flutters in the Upper Piedmont
In the sultry upper piedmont, when summer sings,
I wake up slow, with no alarm bell’s ding.
Brewing coffee with milk, creamy and sweet,
I sit and plan the day, with lists of lists so neat.
Checking in with pairs of little ones, their curious days,
Navigating their friends, in fun and games they play.
Stocking the pantry, with enough to last,
I hop in my car, blasting music fast.
My workout awaits, then comes the errands so stout,
Writing and illustrating, with busy minds flutteringa light, rapid movement, resembling wings or leaves in the wind about.
Dinner experiments, from the chefs-in-training,
The classics we watch, childhood memories remaining.
In my comfy bed, I change for the night,
Reading, scrolling reels, catching up, all is right.
With senses engaged, and minds at ease,
A daily routine, in this Southern breezea light wind : FOUND IN : Land of the Moon - GLOSSARY CARDS.
